Each year during Orlando International Airport’s Customer Service Week celebration, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) Employee Engagement Team hosts a premier wellness event to celebrate the thousands of team members who make MCO a top-tier global destination.
This October, Corporate Health Fairs™ had the distinct honor of partnering once again with GOAA to bring a comprehensive health fair to the vast airport community! The event saw outstanding engagement and participation spanning every sector of the airport’s employer population—from airline operations and administrative staff to emergency responders and terminal services.
A Cornerstone of Customer Service Week
Implementing impactful corporate wellness programs in Orlando requires a deep understanding of unique, high-traffic workforce environments. It is a true privilege to work alongside GOAA’s extraordinary Employee Engagement Team. Their passion and organization turn this annual health fair into a cornerstone tradition of Customer Service Week, ensuring that the team members who take such great care of our region’s visitors are given the care and recognition they deserve!
The energy throughout the day was incredible, with vendors, healthcare providers, and airport personnel celebrating health, unity, and community spirit.
On-Site Mobile Diagnostics & Clinical Screenings
To make preventive healthcare seamlessly accessible for busy airport shifts, the event offered high-level clinical services right on-site:
- Mobile Mammography & Diagnostic Radiology: Terminal B hosted a state-of-the-art mobile mammography unit for on-site breast cancer screenings..
- Flu Vaccines & Primary Care Checks: On-site pharmacy teams provided flu vaccinations.
- Vision, Retina & Hearing Care: Ophthalmology specialists conducted Amsler Grid testing for retina health, eye care centers provided optical consults, and hearing specialists offered on-site education.
- Specialized Clinical Research & Women’s Health: Specialists shared vital guidance on iron deficiency, metabolic health, brain health clinical trials, and diagnostic ultrasound care.
Hands-On Life Safety, Relaxation
A highlight of the event was its wide range of interactive, relaxing, and life-saving stations designed to refresh and educate:
- Airport Rescue Fire Fighters Training: Airport fire and rescue teams led hands-on employee training sessions covering Hands-Only CPR, AED operation, Stop the Bleed protocols, and fire extinguisher safety.
- Assisted Stretch, Chair Massages & Fitness Games: Staff unwound with 1-on-1 table stretch therapy, professional chair massages, and fun bicycle-powered maze races!
- Financial Protection, Housing & Legal Care: Representatives from local credit unions, Medicare specialists, and family legal protection services offered one-on-one wealth and security planning.
